I was sitting here going through some old notes and ran across Ms. Sally's name. Have you talked or heard from her lately? Ken

Ken;
I talk with her, often she has some bad health problems, her back was the biggest concern, she let the Dr.'s talk her into doing surgery that required some metal rods being used !
That was almost two years ago. When she got out of the hospital, first thing she did was call me and said,, what ever you do, Do Not have this back Surgery !!

She said at first didn't think it was helping her pain at all, in fact may have been worse ?  So I was experiencing the exact same problems, with my back, so I am still having lots pain, to this day.

Today she is still in lots of pain but  she can get around some better after some time and the physical therapy seems to help some.  She don't have any Blue Ticks, and the Oakhill Kennels was bought out, buy a local young man that she knew, very well.

I have thought about calling her several times, but never get around to it. I guess she and Ms Bev are still big buddies. You realize most of the people we started out with are either gone or no longer in the dog business. Yes most everyone of the people I speak with that has had that back surgery tells me don't do it. Yes, I often think back to Oakhill and Mr. Jim's Gunsmoke kennels when I hear people talking about Blueticks. Hey, this is going to knock you over. I have as many black/white/tan as I do R/W and Tan and white dogs. I thought that would never happen, but 6 of them are puppies about 6 weeks old. They still got a bunch of weircreek blood in them. They are the most friendly litter of pups I remember having. They will lick you to death. Would you believe I have 5 girls and 1 boy. So that gives me 2 R/W males and 1 Blk/Wh/Tan male. Been thinking about moving a few.

I have also had the back surgery 90% of my lower back is fused together 2- 12 inch rods one on each side of my spine and 4 bars cross ways holding them together my worst pain is burning from the nerve damage but after fighting with workers comp. I'm finally getting a spinal nerve stemilator wires are connected to the nerves and will have a unit I will wear like a cell phone so when the burning and pain gets worse I can turn it up or down when I want to to help control the pain that's something she could check out it's at tri state orthopedic in Evansville IN their really good the best thing to check into now for backs is a new non invasicave surgery they do with only 1 inch cuts after it you go home 3-4 hours after surgery for some types of back surgery they say it's so much better and almost pain free she sold her dogs to Tony Logsdon he's the one I got my last female pup from a really nice man if you ever stop by and see him don't be in a hurry he can talk to you all day about the dogs hope this helps a little ZEKE the country hick!
