Our season here in Ms. opens Oct. 14. Just hanging around waiting  to get back in the groove to run 4 to 5 days a week. Looking forward to running in Mo. a few times as well as Tn. I get my season license for Tn. each year . I live just a few miles from the state line here in N.Ms.  I also run a time or two in Ala. If I had a good place to hunt I would like to make the trip to Ark. the N.E. side. Who am I kidding,. if I can drive there in a couple hours I go.

hunting License, What is That ?  I don't have to buy them anymore here in Ga. the moving the opening day  Up So  these Wonderful Deer Hunters can shoot at the deer over here !!  Heck I think it may open sometimes , the last of November, for 50 years it open on Nov  20th.  Now days they keep moving it later on to the last day,, I think then they keep the deer season Open to the last of  January  resulting in us Small Game boy having the Month of Feb. to hunt, and they are some very warm days in that month so rabbits start to rutting and we don't need to be shooting them and they breeding by that time?  Ga. DNR has No concern for anything but Deer?  I get very up Set with them boys..

frustration is setting in here,it is cooling down nicely and the darn deer hunters rule the woods,,,,if only I could afford to buy a couple thousand acres of land and build smack dab in the middle,I could rabbit hunt without having to worry about some clown shooting one of my dogs,,,,,,it is not like when I was a teenager, deer season was short and small game was king,,,,,I miss the good old days

Back when I was younger big game was not so plentiful and most everyone depended on small game to eat, then the gov't got involved and started the programs to increase deer and turkey. That brought in lots of money, you know so called sportsmen. WE now have too many deer and turkey and no quail and few rabbits. The habitat has changed  because we have no small farms.

When my Dad started taking me it was squirrel then it was rabbit. I can remember getting so excited. Now days it's all about DEER HUNTERS us small game hunters don't matter. What happened to getting kids started on small game. Grayghost that was the good old's days going with your dad and grandfather and don't forget about the uncle's and cousins
